The report comes just as Sudan agreed to pay the US compensation to terrorist victims
A historic normalization agreement between Israel and Sudan will be signed in the coming days just as the United States announced it will remove the African nation from its blacklist of state sponsors of terrorism, the Hebrew-language Walla News outlet reported on Monday.
The anticipated agreement is expected to come soon after Khartoum agrees to transfer some $335 million to the US in compensation for victims of terror, Saudi news channel Al-Arabiya reported Tuesday.
According to Sudanese Finance Minister Heba Mohamed Ali, the money will arrive in the coming hours, but she declined to confirm if a peace deal with Israel would follow.
President Donald Trump announced Monday he would remove Sudan from the US blacklist once compensation to victims of terrorism and their families is paid, with reports suggesting Washington gave Sudan a 24 hour ultimatum to normalize ties with Israel.
