Explosions were heard in Syria’s capital, Damascus, on Saturday, according to reports by the state-run news agency SANA.
Syrian media attributed the explosions to an Israeli attack, Israeli media reported.
Syrian air defenses intercepted “hostile targets” fired toward the countryside.
The news comes just over a week after two bombs detonated on a bus transporting Syrian troops, killing 14 people in one of the deadliest attacks in the city throughout the civil war, according to NPR.
This is a developing story.
