Hamas terror commander Mohammed Deif called for an all out attack on Israel on Saturday morning in a message that was posted on social media.

He called for widespread attacks to “sweep away the occupation.”

Deif claimed that “we have warned the enemy,” before noting that Israel had attacked Muslims and “desecrated al-Aqsa.”

This was a reference to recent incidents in Jerusalem that have occurred during the High Holy Days. Deif called on Arabs and Muslims to carry out attacks on Israel in the West Bank and in Israel.

“Our righteous mujahideen, this is your day to make the enemy understand that his time is over. They attacked and desecrated Al-Aqsa, and we had previously warned them,” he said in the video.

He called for Palestinians to “organize their operations against the settlements and sweep away the occupier,” according to the video posted online at Al-Mayadeen and other sites.

‘Ignite the ground under the feet of the occupation’

Deif urged “our people in Jerusalem to move and ignite the ground under the feet of the occupation,” and also called on people “in the Negev, the Galilee, and the Triangle to move and confront the occupier everywhere.”

The Triangle refers to the area of Umm al-Fahm and Wadi Ara.

He called on Palestinians to attack Israel with whatever weapons they could find: “bring out their guns today, and whoever does not have a gun, let him bring out a knife, a cleaver, or an ax.” He said Palestinians should “carry out your attacks on the settlements with all the means and tools at your disposal.”

Deif has called the operation a “storm” or “flood” that is meant to strike Israel.

Deif has been a terror commander for many years and was targeted by Israel in the past.

Pro-Iran media: ‘Al-Aqsa storm’ involved 5,000 rockets

Pro-Iranian media have praised the widespread surprise attack on Israel as a “storm” or “flood” of rockets.

Hamas terror commander Mohammed Deif has called for more attacks and encouraged assaults against Israel to take place from within Israel, according to Al-Mayadeen, which is considered pro-Iran.

Al-Mayadeen as well as Iranian media such as Tasnim News have all detailed the widespread attack. This illustrates the widespread Iranian axis involvement in the wave of rocket fire and attacks on Saturday morning.

Al-Mayadeen said that Deif had announced the “Al Aqsa Storm” operation in response to “the occupation” and Israel’s policies in Jerusalem. He referenced claims that women had been assaulted in Jerusalem.

“In response to the occupation’s orgy in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the dragging of women in its courtyards” the Hamas terror leader said that 5,000 rockets had been fired at Israel, Al-Mayadeen claimed.

Iran applauds rocket attacks

“The anger of Al-Aqsa and our nation is exploding today.” He claimed that the Al-Aqsa mosque had been “desecrated” and Israel had been “warned.”

The same pro-Iranian media said that Hamas terrorists had encouraged terrorists in the West Bank to “organize their operations against the settlements and sweep away the occupier.”

They also called on terrorists to do the same “in the Negev, the Galilee, and the Triangle to move and confront the occupier everywhere…bring out their guns today, and whoever does not have a gun, let him bring out a knife, a cleaver.”

Iran’s Tasnim News also highlighted the attacks. In post on its homepage it detailed the rocket fire and other incidents on the border of Gaza, as well as highlighting Israel’s movement toward a state of war.

One negotiator was said to disparagingly refer to Abbas as the “mayor of Ramallah,” in order to illustrate his limited power to influence officials from Israel and the Gulf Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia is reportedly gearing up for an historic normalization agreement with Israel that doesn’t include sweeping concessions to the Palestinians, despite officials from the Gulf Kingdom repeatedly stating that such a deal would be conditional upon the foundation of an independent Palestinian state.

According to an Axios report, Saudi negotiators are backing down from their original demand to see the implementation of a two-state solution to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict before a normalization agreement with Jerusalem comes to fruition.

A Haaretz report indicated that Israeli officials told their American counterparts, who are brokering the agreement, that Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas lacks the political clout to set terms for the deal.

One negotiator was said to disparagingly refer to Abbas as the “mayor of Ramallah,” in order to illustrate his limited power to influence officials from Israel and the Gulf Kingdom.

Some lawmakers within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition, including MKs from his own Likud party and the Religious Zionist Party, have expressed their reservations regarding a deal with Saudi Arabia that would require giving up land to the Palestinians.

Several coalition MKs signed an open letter to Netanyahu, demanding transparency into the deal before it’s presented to the public and pledging that they would vote against it, should it include terms such as a Palestinian capital in eastern Jerusalem or the evacuation of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Last month, Palestinian officials told the Times of Israel that they demand for Israel to destroy unpermitted Jewish outposts in Judea and Samaria, the transfer of wide swathes of land in the territory to the PA, and a pledge to pursue the two-state solution in exchange for their support for a Saudi-Israel peace deal.
